Description
Gallium is a non-toxic chemical element with the symbol Ga and atomic number 31. Gallium is in group 13 of the periodic table and is similar to the other metals of the group (aluminium, indium, and thallium). The melting point of gallium, at 302.9146 K (29.7646 °C, 85.5763 °F), is just above room temperature, and is approximately the same as the average summer daytime temperatures in Earth’s mid-latitudes. The melting point of gallium allows it to melt in the human hand, and then solidify if removed.
The gallium will arrive in small beads as shown in the video. The container is an HDPE laboratory reagent bottle.
